Come support Bur Oak Land Trust and Iowa's woodlands this Spring by helping remove garlic mustard - an invasive plant species - from the landscape! When: May 13th and 14th, 9:00am - 11:00am each day Where: Muddy Creek Preserve What to wear: Long pants and long sleeved shirt (recommended). Closed-toed shoes are required. What to bring: Water, sunscreen, bug spray, and gardening gloves (if you have them). Participants should anticipate around 2 hours of hand-pulling garlic mustard, an invasive weed. Expect some sloping terrain and the potential for poison ivy or stinging nettle. After the volunteer event, stick around for a free guided hike of the preserve by Bur Oak staff and/or AmeriCorps members!
