Nearly 95% of Iowa's wetlands have been drained — join us to protect and restore the ones we have left. Golden Hour, Bur Oak Land Trust's annual dinner fundraiser, will support wetland protection in Johnson County. Restored wetlands enhance biodiversity, improve water quality, reduce flooding and contribute to climate change mitigation in our backyards and beyond. The event is from 5:30-8:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 22 at Wilson's Ciderhouse in Iowa City. Celebrate our conservation wins of the year and raise support for some key habitat management projects where they matter most. Tickets include a plated dinner of your choice, glass of wine or beer, appetizers and dessert. Early bird tickets are $95 until Sept. 9. After Sept. 9, the ticket price increases to $115. Ticket sales end Oct. 5.
