YOU WILL BE CONTACTED IF A SPOT BECOMES AVAILABLE FOR YOU. ------------ This level 1, two-day course is a mix of in-class instruction and field skill-building, and includes the following topics: chainsaw safety, required personal protective equipment, saw maintenance, starting a saw, basic limbing, bucking, and swamping. When: April 1-2 | 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. each day Where: F.W. Kent Park (In-Class) and Belgum Grove (In-Field) Participant Cost: $50/person Scholarships may be available to reduce participant cost (contact sarah@buroaklandtrust.org for inquiry). Refunds will only be issued if the course is cancelled. Participants must attend both days to complete the course. This program is offered thanks to a partnership with Johnson County Conservation and a grant from the Johnson County Board of Supervisors Economic Development and Quality of Life Grant Program.
